Women’s Voices will showcase amazing works from talented artists, including pieces by choreographers Karen Kaeja, Robert Kingsbury, and Kelly Steadman, music from Alanna Gurr and Tilly Kooyman, spoken word poetry from Truth Is ... and a short film by Andrea Dorfman.

With her new work for Fall on Your Feet Collective, Karen Kaeja will take her inquiry of secrets kept and secrets shared into a physical realm. Discovering in the body how secrets affect our behaviour and shape our lives, witnessed treasures of mystery and enchantment bring subtle and bold points of departure. Two Canadian women composers take the listener on a journey to hear the inaccessible in Social sounds from whales at night by Emily Doolittle and under an open sky by Veronika

The Guelph Contemporary Dance Festival presents Robert Kingsbury and his new work, Can Be Is Hiding, featuring dancers Robert Kingsbury and Katie Ewald. In Its Wonderful Light in Pictures, Kelly Steadman offers 8 spirited girls who weave together to reveal memory fragments of a single passing soul. Inspired by the music of Yann Tiersen and dedicated to Don Farmer, Its Wonderful Light in Pictures depicts the labyrinth of life, rich with moments of questioning and certainty. Photo left middle.
FLAWED a short film by ANDREA DORFMAN
Festival of Moving Media presents Flawed, a short film by Andrea Dorfman. Flawed deftly traces the filmmaker’s encounter with a potential romantic partner, questioning her attraction and the uneasy possibility of love. Ultimately, Flawed is less about whether girl can get along with boy and more about whether girl can accept herself, imperfections and all. Photo bottom right.
